You mean like the way it was before Dag decided to obsolete the
packages of other repos? :)

Of course there is and the repos _can_ coexist, if the repo
maintainers _want_ to have them coexisting.

I want ATrpms to be coexisting with as many repos as possible, and I
have about a dozen activated on my working machines just to make sure
compatibility is ensured.

There is no technical background to the whole issue (and thus no
technical solution like subrepos, common repos and so on), which is
why this is so sad.

I still do hope that Dag will be convinced to drop his policy
enforcement methods.
