Oh, I'm certain a bugzilla.redhat.com entry *did* exist at one time.  I 
distinctly being a bit pissed(*) at Jeff for closing the bug without much 
comment except to say that "It's a feature".  My last comment on the bug 
was: "So Obsoletes: tags are now deprecated when Provides  are used?", 
since that's effectively what this bug/feature does.  He didn't reply.
