[MythDora] Upgrading MythDora 3.2-4.0 issue

Hi all, I am Drew from Zhrodague. Bigtime MythTV user, with a
4-machine setup -- two for Satellite, and two for analog Cable. I've come
to MythDora because I am more familiar with RedHat flavored GNU/Linux, and
I really like yum and atrpms quite a bit.

I'm having trouble upgrading my master backend, which is MythDora
3.2, and a bunch of yum upgrades during its lifetime. I had trouble
booting and with lirc when the newer two kernels that atrpms fed me, so
I've been using -2257 (I think).

When I use either the DVD or the two CD set, and do a 'linux text'
install, it barfs instantly when I select the old 3.2 distribution to
upgrade. I think I tried to do the graphical install and upgrade, but I
don't remember why that didn't work.

I'd like to preserve the shows that are on the machine, and
upgrade the database. Anybody got suggestions?
