Aaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggghhhh.... Just throw all that out the window. I have no 
idea why 12854 didn't work earlier, but its working now. Had to move to a 
different test box due to hardware stability issues (box hard-locked 3x in 
one day), but same card, same arch and same kernel, and now even svn trunk 
r12782 works for me (but 0.20-fixes continues to not work). Not sure if it 
was just a hardware problem or what... Ugh. Now I need to build some even 
older builds...
