For the last week or so, I've been receiving an error trying to update my RHEL6 system. I'm fairly new to RedHat and yum (I typically run Ubuntu and apt), so this problem has me particularly stumped. I'm hopeful someone here can point me in the right direction. I'm using the atrpms repository to get access to their newer nvidia drivers.
Running "sudo yum update" generates the following error:
Loaded plugins: ibm-check-lotus-updates, ibm-kvm-win7-repo, ibm-repository, refresh-packagekit, security

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Running with the "--skip-broken" flag does not resolve the problem. I haven't tried "rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest", as I have no idea what it might do.
Does anyone here know what is causing this issue and/or how to resolve it? The "not found" error doesn't make much sense to me, as earlier in the update it lists the supposedly-missing "kernel" package as about to be updated.
Thanks much,
Karl M. Davis
