Maybe some parts of history have been dropped, so let me cut a long
story short: The origins of rpmfusion were a discussion between Ville
and myself about merging atrpms and livna. I very much liked the idea
and we started to expand it to all repos including freshrpms, dag,
kde-redhat, planetccrma and whatnot to create the one-and-only repo.
Unfortunately a livna leader didn't like the idea and started placing
barriers until all repos but livna and freshrpms and a game repo (whose
name I currently escapes me) dropped off.

There was never a start of any fight between Jarod and myself, please
don't spread this wrong picture. :(

See above. rpmfusion had placed a policy (which was effectively the
reason for many to depart) that they would not care about compatibility
to other repos.
