Interesting though that "rpm -q --whatrequires" doesn't show *any*
packages requiring *any* version of the above libraries. Yet somehow
those libraries were automagically dragged in. 

Are there some missing requires dependencies somewhere?

Is there any way to figure out which ones are actually required on my system (other than I guess trying to delete them)
