Hi

It's just a guess, but that usually happens when mythtv has been built 
without VDPAU support compiled in. Can you post the output of 
mythfrontend --version?

May be a problem with the new way the nvidia drivers have been packaged 
and the need to have libvdpau-devel installed at build time
