Actually we cannot, F12 is EOL'd since the beginning of this month. We
cannot pick up true maintenance. All that ATrpms could do (and did until
now) was to continue building packages for the EOL'd distro for people
to switch over.
But this is far from a sane system, especially one that is connected to
the net. So F12 support at ATrpms is semi-officially over, but the other
semi is still building packages. ;)
My estimate is that there will be a CentOS beta quite soon, the number
of packages to fix has decreased enormously and the needed fixes are
references to redhat, logos and stuff like that. Given that RHEL6 was a
multitude larger than RHEL5 the progress is very good. Scientific Linux
already has an alpha if you want to check it out.
