[ATrpms-users] MythTV 'bijou' 0.22-20100416

I was tracking down all the bugs mention in the bijou release notes
and trying to figure out which ones might have been accepted into
0.23-fixes. I was trying to determine if I should jump on Axel's
"stable" 0.23-fixes updates or wait for a bijou release. :-) See
below for my analysis and please consider helping me understand things
further. I'm coming up to speed on Trac and trying to determine if
patches applied to trunk made it into the 0.23-fixes branch or not...

It appears the three HD-PVR bugs have been assigned to a developer,
but no milestone has been set. There does not appear to be much
discussion in the bugs as to why they are not acceptable for 0.24 or
later. #6602 was applied to trunk 12 days ago, but I guess it wasn't
back-ported to 0.23-fixes. Has a discussion happened in IRC or on the
-dev list about these bugs?

This appears to have been applied to 0.23.

This appears to have been applied to trunk but not back-ported to 0.23-fixes.

I'm not sure about the colorspace stuff. It appears #7307 was added
to trunk in Changeset 22431, but how does that apply to 0.22-fixes or
0.23-fixes? I'm still trying to figure out the details on using Trac.

I've not looked at this patch directly, but I appreciate the effort. :)

The audio patches are part of 0.23-fixes, I believe.

This was applied to trunk 5 months ago, so can I assume it's in 0.23
even though the 0.23 milestone is not set?

Fixed in 0.23.

Fixed in 0.23.

#7322 was fixed for 0.23, but it appears #7939 has not been applied
yet. It sounds like #7939 will not be needed in 0.24 when MythUI
draws the OSD, is that correct?

It appears that after 3+ years of development, this will make it into 0.24.

Applied to 0.23.

Applied to 0.23.

Haven't looked at the details of Yeechang's variant. :)

Applied to 0.23.

> * BT.709 and studio-level colors for VDPAU playback (#7307).

As noted above, applied to trunk. I cannot tell if it made it into 0.23.

> * Blu-ray subtitle support (#6748).

Added to trunk changeset 23750. I cannot tell if it made it into 0.23.

> * Reduce verbosity of log messages (#6730, #7982).

Fixed in 0.23.

> * Improvements to BlackCurves OSD theme (#7911, #7995).

#7911 was fixed in 0.23. #7995 was applied to trunk 3 months ago with
changeset 23471. How do I determine if that's part of 0.23-fixes?

> * Fix to %YEARSTARS% when either year or stars is missing (my version

#7992 was applied to 0.23. Not sure how that affects Yeechang's version.

> * Various ATSC closed-caption fixes (#7738, #7739, #7766, #7775,
> #7776).

Appears these were applied to trunk before the 0.23 branch was
created, but I'm not certain.

> * Miscellaneous, mostly video-related fixes (#7252, #7397, #7409,
> #7454, #7688, #7759, #7827).

#7252 was never applied. #7397, #7409 were applied to 0.23. #7454
says it was applied to 0.22-fixes. #7688, #7759 were applied to 0.23.
#7827 was applied to trunk in Changeset 23405.

Thanks for any feedback you can provide. I may just need a clue stick
to determine if a patch in trunk made it into the 0.23-fixes branch.
