[ATrpms-users] Mulitrec with HDHomeRun Tuner

This may be a better question for the MythTV list, but since I'm using
the "unsupported" bijou packages from ATRpms I figured I would start
here in hopes that someone else who is using these packages can help.

I have an HDHomeRun tuner that I'm using to tune clear QAM channels
from Comcast cable. After installing the bijou packages I deleted the
HDHR tuners that I had defined, and re-added making sure that Max
Tuners was set to 2 (the default). I also have a pcHD3000 tuner card,
so I have three tuners that can record essentially the same QAM
channels. Since I've installed the bijou packages (almost right after
they were made available) I don't think I've seen the multirec
capabilities kick in once. So, I don't know if it doesn't work with
my configuration, or I don't understand how it is supposed to work, or
if I have something configured incorrectly.

I'll give one example of where I thought the multirec capabilities
would work. Criminal Minds had its two-hour season finale on
Wednesday night. The way it showed up in the schedule was as two
one-hour shows. My recording rule for this show is to start the
recording a minute early and end a minute late. The first one hour
show was being recorded on the first tuner of my HDHR. When it came
time for the second hour to start recording I figured with multirec it
would be able to also record on the first tuner, but it didn't; it
recorded on the second tuner of the HDHR. So, with this example in
mind am I not understanding how multirec works? Will it only kick in
if there are no other tuners available?

Any help or info would be appreciated.

John
