[ATrpms-users] How to back out of a libgcrypt conflict?

I have a Centos 5.3 system and I've tried to keep it up to date with yum
update. I am also using the atrpms repository in order to have some of
the mythtv packages. That presumably is at the root of a conflict that
I now have that prevents me from updating some packages.

Specifically, the error I get from yum update is:

Transaction Check Error:
  file /usr/lib/libgcrypt.so.11 from install of
libgcrypt-1.4.4-5.el5.i386 conflicts with file from package
libgcrypt11-1.4.0-15.el5.i386

http://www.mail-archive.com/centos@centos.org/msg45675.html is a note
that predicts the problem that I'm having, but it doesn't offer me any
clues about how to fix the problem.

I had an earlier problem that went away after a "yum clean", but that is
not powerful enough magic here.

Re-reading about atrpms, I see that I should disable the repository so
that I don't get more updates from it unless I specifically enable it,
and that I should only do that when I really need a specific update for
a mythtv package. But, how can I recover from this mis-step that I've made?
