That's pretty much what I saw too. I have irexec launch at login, just
so I can hit the power key to run a script to kill/restart mythfrontend.
My remote would trigger that script (so lirc must be working) but
mythfrontend wouldn't respond.
This is i386 with a MCE USB remote.
I've still got the machine running myth 0.21-185 and lirc-0.8.3-74 to
keep the g/f happy.
