Hmm, that's strange.  This is the error I am getting in Xorg.0.log:
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//nvidia_drv.so

Did a search for the error message and came almost directly to the
link I provided in my first message that specifically references this
error message and Fedora 9.  Guess I'll have to dig a bit deeper.
