[ATrpms-users] Issue at boot MYTHCONFDIR error

To all:

I keep getting the following errors at boot (reproduced here manually):

after Start service appears on the screen I get the error

---------------------
Start Service local
(date time) using runtime prefix = /usr , libdir = /usr/lib
(date time) Cannot locate your home directory. Please set the environment variable HOME or MYTHCONFDIR Could not initialize myth context. Exiting.
-------------------------------

I have tried to manually change the mythbackend scripts to indicate that my home directory is /home/mythtv with no results. They are the mythbackend scripts under /etc/sysconfig/ and /etc/rc.d/init.d

I am running the latest under fedora 8 kernel. -85 I think. It started happening with a prior kernel update.

Any help would be appreciated as the forums do not seem to address this error.

Joe
