Using version 0.21 release 179_trunk_r16254.fc8.
Yep. I did a full update.
I'll try the upgrade later today and see if that gets it.  Hopefully that also fixes the stutter issue with the pvr 350 out.  If not it's just incentive for me to get tv out working with my nvidia card.

Which mythtv version? Did you really do a proper yum update w/o any
selective/partial configuration?

Yes, but they won't differ from what is now in bleeding, and this
failure isn't addressed in any changelog from 0.20->0.21. Let's hope
Shane's problem goes away with an upgrade later today.
