Arer you sure you have the lastest atrpms-rpm-config package? Some
months back it would not default to build the kmdls and would need
more switches. Since then it does default to building the kmdls.

Another issue could be that you once installed the nvidia drivers
manually and the system kept track of it. The nvidia drivers are built
in clean chroots, e.g. there is indeed no nvidia driver present from
the viewpoint of the rpmbuild process.
