And all this time I've been installing MePo by hand.  I should pay

Axel, I think you might have some issues if you update the themes.   
There was a discussion recently about the latest versions of MePo-wide  
only being compatible with trunk > r14933, unless the following is  
done :

easiest way to run latest mepo-wide on anything less then trunk r14933
is to copy osd.xml and the osd folder from older mepo and remove the
$HOME/.mythtv/osdcache directory for the user running mythtv.

So there might be a case where you would need to have bleeding and  
normal versions of themes.  Or those of us on bleeding can just  
install the latest themes manually.
