[ATrpms-users] Why does the meta package mythtv require xmltv

Unfortunately, installing xmltv drags in a long list of other packages
(26 in total). 

I have long had mythtv working just fine without xmltv (though it has
required me to separately install mythtv-frontend, mythtv-setup,
mythtv-docs which then pull in all the other requirements mentioned in
the meta package).

Is there any reason to REQUIRE xmltv as part of the basic package?
I know that people in some regions need it to do their grabbing but
other regions don't need it.

I abide by the philosophy of trying to keep my installation clean and
streamlined. 

So, back to the question of whether there is any compelling reason to
require xmltv as part of a core mythtv install or can it be dropped
from the Requires list?
