Don't upgrade just yet.

If you don't mind doing some manual editing:
Change
cd $MYTHTV_HOME && daemon --user mythtv $binary $OPTIONS

into:

cd $MYTHTV_HOME && daemon $binary $OPTIONS

And it's the same as .173

It makes the backend to run as root...
