20080202 is correct, 20080114 is wrong.

What about the other packages, and what about remnants of a user
install under /usr/local (or even /usr)?

Try ldd on the executables, then rpm -qf on the found libs/executables
and finally an rpm -q/rpm -V on these packages.

Did you use any partial/selective upgrading methods?

39 is correct, 37 not. Did you restart the backend?
