Current kmdls for alsa, lirc, and nvidia-graphics in ATrpms' CentOS
repositories (bleeding, testing, or stable) do not support use of
kernel-suspend2-2.6.18-53.1.6_1.el5.cubbi_suspend2.i686.rpm which is
only available from Matthias Hensler's Suspend2/TuxOnIce repo. These
are needed to support using suspend2/TuxOnIce hibernate/suspend
capabilities in conjunction with MythTV systems. Any chance of adding
these to the repository?
If not, how do I go about obtaining the spec file(s) from a similar
kernel (such as FC6) and how do I use them to build rpms for my
CentOS5.1 with Suspend2 kernel? I found
http://www.rpm.org/RPM-HOWTO/build.html, which looks like it might be
the answer to the second part -- haven't had time to read all of it
yet -- but I still need advice how to find/download spec files and
source rpms to build. I can see some of them on the ATrpms web pages,
but I understand they are not always current and I haven't noticed
them in the repositories themselves. Am I looking in the wrong
branches? Do I need to be looking for a more appropriate HOWTO to
work from?
Craig.
