You can find all documentation on http://mhensler.de/swsusp/
The setup should be very simple:
1. If you want to use graphical suspend and resume (which will need you
to setup a framebuffer) you should do first:
yum install userui-tuxonice-fbsplash userui-suspend2-theme-fedoraflyinghigh
2. Install the TuxOnIce kernel and all needed utilities with:
yum install kernel-tuxonice
3. Optional: to use the Gnome-functions for hibernation make sure that
pm-utils-0.99.3-9.fc7.2cubbi_tuxonice is installed (should be picked
up by "yum update").
4. If you use a framebuffer (see 1.) then edit
/etc/hibernate/suspend2.conf and set the userui setting to
/sbin/suspend2ui_fbsplash (uncomment the appropriate line and comment
the line with suspend2ui_text).
5. Reboot the the new kernel and call either "hibernate" as root,
"pm-hibernate" as user (if the correct pm-utils are installed, see
3.) or use "Logout" in the Gnome-dialog, clicking on "Hibernate"
afterwards (again, make sure pm-utils is properly installed, see 3.).
Regards,
Matthias
