[ATrpms-users] Problems when updating to latest kernel under FC6

Regarding lirc, I just noted that there is a new subdirectory called
lirc-0.8.3
- Why wasn't this just done as an automatic upgrade from 0.8.2 rather
  than naming it as a new subdirectory?
- What do I need to do to get yum to upgrade to this automatically?
(or do I need to do this manually by uninstalling lirc-0.8.2 and
manually installing the 0.8.3 equivalents?)
