This things happens from time to time. The "=" dependency is a
developers decision to avoid problems - on the assumption that the
package can be kept up-to-date.
I found that a more serious issue is the conflict of "stock" (i.e., from
"extras") apt with atrpms-packages-config: they both provide
/etc/apt/vendors.list (fingerprints). I tried to "downgrade" to the
"extras" package (which is compatible with the new rpm) but the
side-effects escalated...
Suggestion: move the atrpms' file to /etc/apt/vendors.list.d/atrpms.list
(keep functionality and avoid conflicts).
