Yum should have downloaded the older kernel into /var/cache/yum/ 
<somewhere>, so you can just 'rpm -ivh --oldpackage <older kernel>'.  
I think there may be a plugin or a flag for yum to permit installing  
older packages, but I've yet to actually get off my duff and look  
into it, I usually just install older stuff as prescribed above...
