If it's a global fix, then I would suggest someone sending that patch to
the libraw1394 maintainers. It's hard to discuss without details.

I would:

# rpm -e --nodeps libraw1394 libraw1394-devel
## Add the line "exclude=libraw1394*"
in /etc/rc.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo or the equivalent in Smart
# yum install libraw1394* (making sure atrpms is enabled)

Worst case, just browse over to http://www.atrpms.net/, find the
libraw1394* packages and "rpm -Uvh" them.
