I'm having similar issue.
Upgrading a single machine, trying to install mythtv-suite
First time:
all was going well when I got:
---> Package libmythavformat-0.20.2_0.i386 0:0.20.2-166.el5 set to be updated
---> Package perl-DateManip.noarch 0:5.44-1.2.1 set to be updated
---> Downloading header for xmltv-gui to pack into transaction set.
http://dl.atrpms.net/el5-i386/atrpms/stable/xmltv-gui-0.5.49-75.el5.noarch.rpm:
[Errno 12] Timeout: <urlopen error timed out>
Trying other mirror.
Error: failure: xmltv-gui-0.5.49-75.el5.noarch.rpm from atrpms: [Errno
256] No more mirrors to try.
10 minutes later:
> yum install mythtv-suite
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
http://dl.atrpms.net/el5-i386/atrpms/stable/repodata/repomd.xml:
[Errno 12] Timeout: <urlopen error timed out>
Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: atrpms
I thought yum only download one package at a time?
I know that smart can start several download at once ; which is
actually a problem with my local ISP mirror as they only allow one
connection at a time. Here in Oz, you have a quite strict quota of
usage per month ; so I much prefer to use my unmetered ISP
centos/fedora mirror.
but with smart, I can't
unless there was a way to tell smart to only establish one connection at a time
