Interestingly, I never had an issue with smart even though it attempts
multiple downloads in parallel which yum doesn't.

I like yum because all rpm files are easily accessible, and if I copy
the /var/cache content to another machine with no network access
(didn't install the driver yet) ; I can still run an update off-line,
saving bandwidth.

Smart by default doesn't cache any rpm and redownload everything all the time
