I was trying to rebuild the nvidia drivers for centos5 (centosplus kernel)

But I get the error:
ERROR: No NVIDIA driver is currently installed; the '--kernel-module-only'
       option can only be used to install the NVIDIA kernel module on top of an
       existing driver installation.


What would I need to do to re-create kernel packages for centosplus kernel?
