I think that needs to be addressed in ivtv upstream, let me explain:
If I now create a kmdl for saa7127 based on kernel 2.6.21 it will
break on 2.6.20 or 2.6.22 just like the v4l kmdls break as well.

So it would mean that for each kernel I would have to create a
different source form the kmdl. This doesn't scale and would mean that
the saa7127 modules would lag behind kernel updates quite some time.

Putting it back in the ivtv sources will ensure that ivtv and saa7127
play nice together.

Ideally I'd like to understand why the v4l kmdls don't offer the
required saa7127 functionality. Maybe it was just a buggy cut.
