Keep in mind I have been using these setups for quite some time. The
modprobe configuration has evolved a bit during that time.

Two days ago, I had a file '/etc/modprobe.d/ivtv.conf' containing:
  alias char-major-81 ivtv
  options ivtv mpg_buffers=16 vbi_buffers=16 dec_osd_buffers=2 dec_mpg_buffers=3

I have now completely removed that file. I also had a file
'/etc/modprobe.d/ivtv-fb.conf' containing:
   install ivtv /sbin/modprobe saa7127; /sbin/modprobe
--ignore-install ivtv; /sbin/modprobe ivtv-fb

I have now changed that file to contain:
   options ivtv-fb osd_compat=1
   install ivtv /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ivtv; /sbin/modprobe ivtv-fb

I also have a file for ivtv-lircd, but I didn't touch that file at all.

So, you think my setup should work with the same config for F7? I
won't hold you to anything, but I generally wait to upgrade until I
hear of at least one success story from someone with similar hardware.

An ATrpms wiki would be great.

Thanks again for your efforts.
