[ATrpms-users] Packages required for working ivtv-fb

Hello,

I've just installed a Fedora 7 machine with a PVR-350, which I'm trying
to get working using atrpms - I think I'm suffering from a combination
of the newness of Fedora 7 and an complete unfamiliarity with the
hardware, ivtv drivers, and atrpms packaging.

Do I have the following correct:

1) There are two packages which provide ivtv.ko (video4linux-ivtv-kmdl
and ivtv-kmdl), but only one (ivtv-kmdl) provides ivtv-fb.ko

2) To use the MPEG-2 decoder / tv-out on the PVR-350, I also need to use
saa7127.ko

3) saa7127.ko is only available in the video4linux-kmdl package. The
video4linux-ivtv-kmdl package is provided for compatibility with
video4linux-kmdl, but doesn't contain ivtv-fb.ko

4) With video4linux-kmdl and ivtv-kmdl installed (but not
video4linux-ivtv-kmdl) I have the requisite kmods to use tv-out, but the
output exhibits the characteristics described here:
http://www.mail-archive.com/ivtv-users@ivtvdriver.org/msg05862.html
This suggests an incompatibility between these two packages?

Is there any (other) way to install ivtv-fb.ko and saa7127.ko using
atrpms?

I was eventually looking to use the PVR-350 tv-out with MythTV - are
ivtv_xdriver packages planned for Fedora 7 - am I just too early to the
party?

Regards,

kev.
