[ATrpms-users] Changing to x86_64 architecture

Hello,

I have just replaced the motherboard (Athlon 32) of my mythtv/fc6
installation with an Athlon 64 x2.

I am trying to get away without re-installing the whole system. I
managed to 'upgrade' fc6, so the network, sound, etc of the new
motherboard work. The kernel also recognised the the dual core, but not
the 64 bit.

Is there a way of forcing yum to install the x86_64 kernel and related
packages? I tried a crude cheat and changed the repository URL to use
x86_64 instead of $basearch, and download the latest kernel, but it
simply could not find it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Laszlo
