heheh.  i found it.  just in case this bites anyone else in the short
time we have with zaptoit...

turns out that they'd deleted my lineup.  when i restored the lineup,
that problem went away.

just as an fyi, however, another problem then showed up.  the timeout
settings in the newest mysql have been shortened.  this caused the db to
timeout mythfilldatabase sql requests.  

the myth wiki has some information about that.  however it claims it
only happens on the 0.19.x releases.  i'm up on the latest of axel's,
0.20.1, and it's still happening.  here's an extract of the wiki page to
fill in how to fix it:

i did this and the problem with mythfilldatabase went away.  YMMV, of
course.  and, i don't have a clue what else it might adversely affect.
