Nvidia installer replaces some libs in your system. It should restore them
when
uninstalling, but you better off checking.
But you have to have at least these lines in your xorg.conf (note that I use
x86_64),
which should have been created by nvidia-graphics-helpers:
# Nvidia modules
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules"
