Greetings. We've gotten a request to install Scientific Python on one
of the linux workstations here. The system in question is actually
running Scientific Linux version 3, which is compiled (mostly) from the
source for Redhat Enterprise 3.

I downloaded the following RPM files from the AT repository, using, for
example:

  wget http://dl.atrpms.net/all/ScientificPython-2.4.11-2.el3.at.i386.rpm

[root at xxxxxx tmp]# ls
netcdf-3.6.2-5.el3.i386.rpm pythonabi-2.2-3.el3.at.i386.rpm
netcdf-devel-3.6.2-5.el3.i386.rpm
ScientificPython-2.4.11-2.el3.at.i386.rpm
Numeric-23.8-5.el3.at.i386.rpm

There seems to be an incompatibility between this version of
ScientificPython and this version of netcdf:

[root at xxxxxx tmp]# rpm -Uvh *
warning: netcdf-3.6.2-5.el3.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID
66534c2b
error: Failed dependencies:
         libnetcdf.so.3 is needed by ScientificPython-2.4.11-2.el3.at

[root at xxxxxx tmp]# rpm -ql -p netcdf-3.6.2-5.el3.i386.rpm | grep
libnetcdf.so
warning: netcdf-3.6.2-5.el3.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID
66534c2b
/usr/lib/libnetcdf.so.4
/usr/lib/libnetcdf.so.4.0.0

Any suggestions? Thanks.
