[ATrpms-users] how use smart on atrpms?

I tried smart cmd from the console but Smart doesn't seem to find any of the updates that
yum lists for extras or updates (see below)
what config files do I need to check to verify its setup.
also I don't see "--update" listed when I use smart --help or man smart
