$ rpm -qlp kernel-2.6.21-1.3228.fc7.i686.rpm |grep saa7127
/lib/modules/2.6.21-1.3228.fc7/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7127.ko

So, the Fedora bugzilla was followed up and saa7127 is back in the
distribution kernel - the video4linux kmod package is no longer needed
for ivtv.

It doesn't solve the mystery, but it certainly avoids it :-/
It may explain why we're seeing different results on F7 once people have
moved to the latest kernel.

I still haven't moved to F7 (only tested the waters!), as there still
isn't a ivtv_xdriver package, unfortunately - though I understand the
reasons why.
