Hm, we now have opposite recommendations. :/

(BTW the pure video4linux package doesn't affect anything, it's just
 the *-kmdls that can make a difference here)

Bert would you like to try Marcel's setup as is? E.g no ivtv-kmdl, but
only video4linux*-kmdl.
