I have been using faac and faad2 from freshrpms because of vlc,
which I compile myself
(Dries' packages should be similar, I guess).

However, Matthias said he is willing to pass libmp4v2 to extras,
so he removed those libs from faad2. Also,
/usr/lib/libmp4v2.so, needed by mythtv, was no longer in his faac package.
The upgrade to version 2.5 broke ffmpeg, transcode and cinelerra from
freshrpms.
I have reported those problems in freshrpms lists, but did not check if he
fixed it
I think he only updated ffmpeg for the new versions, which fixed transcode.
Cinelerra has to be recreated yet.

Therefore, I start using faac and faad2 from ATrpms, and kept ffmpeg
(15/12/2006) from freshrpms.

It would be very nice if those packages were compatible again.
