Well, I updated everything:
[root at localhost ~]# rpm -qa|grep ivtv
ivtv-firmware-1.8a-13.at
ivtv-0.10.0-125.fc6.at
ivtv_xdriver-0.10.7-8_r3843.fc6.at
perl-Video-ivtv-0.13-8.fc6.at
ivtv-kmdl-2.6.19-1.2911.fc6-0.10.0-125.fc6.at
[root at localhost ~]# rpm -qa|grep video4linux
video4linux-kmdl-2.6.19-1.2911.fc6-20061107-77.fc6.at
I am still getting the exact same error at startup and in /var/log/messages.
When loading up the driver from the command-line I get:
[root at localhost ~]# /sbin/depmod -a
[root at localhost ~]# /sbin/modprobe ivtv
[root at localhost ~]# /sbin/modprobe ivtv-fb
FATAL: Error inserting ivtv_fb (/lib/modules/2.6.19-1.2911.fc6/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv-fb.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
[root at localhost ~]# ll /dev/video?
ls: /dev/video?: No such file or directory
[root at localhost ~]# /bin/dmesg |grep Initialized
ieee1394: Initialized config rom entry `ip1394'
[drm] Initialized drm 1.0.1 20051102
[drm] Initialized radeon 1.25.0 20060524 on minor 0
[root at localhost ~]# /sbin/rmmod ivtv
[root at localhost ~]# /sbin/modprobe ivtv
[root at localhost ~]# ll /dev/video?
crw------- 1 root root 81, 0 Feb 21 21:01 /dev/video0
[root at localhost ~]# /sbin/modprobe ivtv
[root at localhost ~]# /bin/dmesg |grep Initialized
ieee1394: Initialized config rom entry `ip1394'
[drm] Initialized drm 1.0.1 20051102
[drm] Initialized radeon 1.25.0 20060524 on minor 0
ivtv0: Initialized Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350, card #0
After this, I can eventually pipe live through my TV OUT to a television.
