On my work laptop I am using FC6 ieee80211 and ipw2200 kmdl packages
with the suspend2 kernels. Last update offered the new standard and
suspend2 kernels, but only the standard kmdl packages. Here are the
relevant bits from /var/log/yum.log after the update:
Feb 21 08:07:20 Installed: kernel.i686 2.6.19-1.2911.fc6
Feb 21 08:07:21 Installed: ieee80211-kmdl-2.6.19-1.2911.fc6.i686
1.2.16-17.fc6.at
Feb 21 08:12:15 Installed: kernel-devel.i686 2.6.19-1.2911.fc6
Feb 21 08:13:52 Updated: kernel-doc.noarch 2.6.19-1.2911.fc6
Feb 21 08:16:03 Installed: kernel-suspend2.i686
2.6.19-1.2911_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2
Feb 21 08:16:15 Installed: kernel-suspend2-devel.i686
2.6.19-1.2911_1.fc6.cubbi_suspend2
Feb 21 08:16:18 Updated: kernel-headers.i386 2.6.19-1.2911.fc6
Feb 21 08:16:19 Installed: ipw2200-kmdl-2.6.19-1.2911.fc6.i686
1.2.0-45.1.fc6.at
Feb 21 08:16:19 Updated: yum-plugin-kmdl.noarch 0.6-8.fc6.at
I ran "smart --gui" and selected the ieee80211 and ipw2200 suspend2 kmdl
packages for manual installation, so no big deal, but would have hoped
that yum-plugin-kmdl would do the job automagically.
Thanks,
Phil
