I've searched this issue to death, and I cannot find a solution.

I'm running a fresh install of FC6 x86_64, following Jarod's instructions. Like others, I cannot get ivtv to load at boot time to run X off of it.

I get the following message at startup:

Red Hat nash version 5.1.19.0.2 starting
ivtv0: Error -3 initializing firmware.
Trying to free already-free IRQ 22
ivtv0: Error -12 on initialization
ivtv-osd: ivtv_fb_card_id parameter is out of range (valid range: 0--1)
insmod: error insterting '/lib/ivtv-fb.ko': -1 Operation not permitted

Here is the experpt from /var/log/messages:

ivtv0: did you put the firmware in the hotplug firmware directory?

ivtv0: Error -3 initializing firmware.
Trying to free already-free IRQ 22
ivtv0: Error -12 on initialization

ivtv: ==================== END INIT IVTV ====================

The firmware seems to be symlinked everywhere without me doing anything:
