just cranked up smart do to my before bedtime updates, and i get this:

there are a few lines more, but i guess the problem is clear.

this happens in a window that pops up from smart, not in it's normal log
window, but in one with a big red/white X icon on it.  seemingly during
the preparing stage of the update, after the downloads have happened.

sorta took me by surprise at first - perhaps i haven't seen a dep
conflict before in smart.

anyhow, i locked in the at version and went about the update for now.
