Yes, that's a bug in the regex that selects the compatibility packages
(was "-libs-", should had been "-libs" or "-libs$")

No, i386 packages should be tagged as compatibility packages where
needed and placed into the x86_64 repo as well. You'll find many i386
packages in the x86_64 repo. They are all hand selected by using
per-package regex's.

Yes, in theory it was already done some time ago [1], but was blocked
by the above bug. Fixed and the repo is currently being rebuilt, I
think FC6/x86_64 is already through.
