as long as the modules get installed in /usr/lib/asterisk/modules and
that is the path you defined in the asterisk configuration, it doesn't
matter where asterisk-addons come from

I used to compile asterisk by hand because i required special
compilation flags, and install asterisk-addons from ATrpms
