   Heh.  x3 for the missus & two children expecting access to several Gb of 
children's program AVIs ...

   Even when it goes swimmingly I end up taking quite a while just 
downloading the latest updates.  I usually wait till I have a clear 
no-recordings weekend plus a light following week, but it's not really 
happened this year.

   I may give it a bash over the festive week which ironically is usually a 
bit rubbish for TV we like.  May be time to give that 'mondo' backup utility 
a try ...
