No. It was Fedora 7.
But there must be an update somewhere that activates the "accessibility" stuff.
Finally I found out where in the menu all the accessibility stuff is and indeed, it was activated (I am
using KDE, instead of Gnome).
I turned it off and it is working like a charm again.

Is this Fedora 8? Since upgrading to F8 I also have lots of issues
with my keyboard - it either deactivates itself, or freezes some
keypress.
