Sorry, I haven't seen the rest of the thread. Do you mean on 
two different machines?

I suggest adding the following line to /etc/rpm/macros
so you get arch info when running rpm -q

%_query_all_fmt         %%{name}-%%{version}-%%{release}.%%{arch}

I often got confused on my x86_64 by mixed 64/32 bit packages
